
The Supreme Committee for the 'Hala February' Festival announced here on Tuesday that the Festival's activities will kick off on January 8 and will continue till February 8.
The Committee said in a statement that it took into account such date would not conflict with the celebration of the Standing Committee of the celebrations of Kuwait's national holidays and the celebrations on granting His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the title of a "Humanitarian Leader" by the United Nations and designation of Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center".
The committee added that the it also took into account the mid-year school holidays falling during these days, a matter that would make the evens joyful for all.
For his part, member of the Supreme Committee and Chairman of the Media Committee of the Hala February Festival 2015, Walid Mohammed Al-Saqabi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the festival this year would witness tangible development in the events by focusing on the marketing side which is eagerly awaited by many of the citizens and expatriates to benefit from discounts and special offers provided by shopping centers (malls), cooperative societies, companies and shops participating in the festival, which is the first in Kuwait.
He added that the festival would also showcase various events chiefly concerts, poetry, religious events and sports for children as well as other activities that contribute to the reunion of family members.
