Blast in Yemen capital leaves dead, wounded

A powerful explosion shook the centre of the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Thursday leaving dead and wounded, an AFP photographer said.
The number of casualties was not immediately known, nor was the cause of the blast, which came amid deep tensions between authorities and rebels who overran the capital last month.
