Photographer critical after shooting at French daily

A photographer was left fighting for his life Monday after being shot by an intruder at the office of left-wing French daily Liberation, police said. The victim was shot in the chest and stomach and was in a critical condition, they said. A police security cordon had been erected around Liberation's editorial offices in central Paris.
