Projections: Austria's ruling coalition scrapes majority

Austria's ruling coalition of Social Democrats and conservatives won the necessary majority to continue ruling without the help of a third party Sunday, although the far right was hot on their heels. Chancellor Werner Faymann's SPOe won 26.7 percent of the vote, followed by the People's Party (OeVP) at 23.6 percent, projections by the ARGE research institute for the Austria Press Agency showed.
