Syria: Ally Russia's position unchanged

Syria's deputy foreign minister said Wednesday the position of the ally Russia had not changed, despite comments by President Vladimir Putin suggesting Moscow was taking a conciliatory tone toward the West. "The Russian position is unchanged; it's a responsible position of a friend that is in favour of peace," Faisal Muqdad said in an exclusive interview with AFP.
