Syria peace conference in mid-November

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will announce Friday that a new Syria peace conference will be held in Geneva in mid-November, UN diplomats told AFP. "Ban will announce that there is a tentative date for mid-November," one diplomat said. A first peace conference was held in June 2012 but there has been no follow-up because of divisions in the Syrian opposition and the international community.
