US warns China to avoid tensions in airspace

The United States warned China Thursday against risking tensions in international airspace after Japan accused Beijing of "dangerous maneuvers" above disputed areas of the East China Sea.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Washington does not recognize China's air defense identification zone in the area, and said: "Any attempt to interfere with freedom of overflight in international airspace raises regional tensions."
