Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced Thursday that 13 trucks loaded with Kuwaiti humanitarian and relief aid have entered Gaza Strip through Rafah crossing on Gaza-Egypt borders.
In statements to KUNA, Head of KRCS-Gaza Khaled Al-Zaid said that the trucks carry over 10,000 foodstuff packs to war-traumatized Gaza people.
He added that the KRCS is preparing a second shipment to include 10,000 foodstuff packs and 5,000 school bags and stationaries.
A Kuwaiti medical team, from Kuwait Medical Association, will visit Gaza Strip next week. The Kuwaiti medical team will bring with it medical aid to Gaza hospitals with an accumulative value of one million dollars, Al-Zaid said.
He pointed out that the aid shipments and KRCS's efforts come in response to the instructions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to take all required measure to help alleviate the suffering of Gaza people particularly after the devastating 51-day Israeli war on the Strip.
