The Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Bahrain hosted its 2012 CFA Bahrain Careers Day for financial professionals interested in developing their management skills, this was published at the GDN today. More than 60 delegates from within the investment and finance community from Bahrain and the GCC region attended an extensive range of presentations, workshops and selected one-on-one coaching sessions. Among the topics discussed by the panel was the change in attitude at work among young professionals compared to previous generations. Young professionals are increasingly more mature and hardworking and have better quality of work than previously seen, the panel said. They ask for challenging non-routine roles and require feedback and recognition for their efforts. The panel also stressed the importance of performance management culture for the success of any organisation which includes being a good people manager and developer of talent for senior roles. "The Bahrain financial sector is undergoing rapid changes in line with regional and global developments," said CFA Bahrain president Khalil Nooruddin. "An event like this brings qualitative discussion to the fore in the most important human resource area. "The CFA Bahrain Careers Day reflects our commitment for the past five years to be involved in every aspect that interests the investment community in the kingdom and the GCC," he said. "We lined up an impressive team of international professional career coaches who facilitated discussions and conducted the workshops," he added.
