
The Hasaka branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) distributed on Tuesday 1,200 food baskets among displaced families that are living in a number of villages south of Hasaka city.
Coordinator of the SARC Media Committee Sayed al-Khaled said that SACR has allotted emergency baskets for residents of Gueran neighborhood in Hasaka, adding that the materials were provided by the World Food program (WFP).
Meanwhile, Head of “al-Birr” social services charity in Hasaka province Ibrahim al-Khalidi said that 1,500 food baskets were distributed among families which were forced to leave Jaz’a and al-Yaroubyeh areas.
Al-Khalidi said the charity also distributed 600 food baskets on Monday to the area of Tal Hamees in the province, adding that the charity is now distributing about 700 baskets to the families which came to al-Malikyeh area.
