Supported by the Syrian government, the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) distributed 400 food and health baskets in Yarmouk Camp in Damascus on Friday.
GAPAR Director Ali Mustafa said that the GAPAR distributed 200 food baskets along with bread and water and 200 health baskets at Rama Street in the Camp.
The total of food baskets that have been distributed since January 30th reached 54,774, while the number of health baskets reached to 10,684, Mustafa added.
He pointed out that the medical center affiliated to UNRWA continued treating patients and offering medicine to them.
The inhabitants of Yarmouk Camp are still trapped by armed terrorist groups who have repeatedly hampered the initiatives and efforts which were agreed on to put an end to the crisis inside the neighborhood and provide access to humanitarian assistance.
