4.7 million tons of local wheat received from farmers till Sunday

About 4.7 million tons of local wheat were received from farmers until now, said Agriculture Ministry in a report on Sunday.
Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed said the importing of wheat is still going on.
He urged wheat farmers nationwide to contact the concerned authorities if they were faced by any obstacles in importing wheat to the ministry's silos.
The three-month wheat harvest began mid-April.
The world's largest wheat importer has banned the trading of imported wheat in the domestic market without permission from the supply ministry during this year's harvest season, from April to July.
