The Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology (JISM) announced on Wednesday that some 90 Jordanian products from 45 factories in the food, chemical and engineering sectors have obtained the Jordanian Quality Mark since the beginning of this year until November.
The importance of this mark lies in its role of guiding Jordanian consumers in selecting the best products based on performance and efficiency as well as indicating the high technical standards achieved by the industrial property to give the product a competitive advantage in local, regional and international markets, which would result in boosting the national economy.
The organization awards this quality mark to factories and products that apply high quality standards in manufacturing, matching the special technical requirements of the quality mark, which is the highest award achievable in meeting the Jordanian technical regulations and standards.
Products that have received this quality mark enjoy privileges, such as being recommended by the organization to entities in the governmental and private sectors. The quality mark provides access to customs facilities and smoother transitions through ports and customs crossings, and it is an important indicator of quality for the Kingdom’s importers and investors.
