Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal announced Thursday in Algiers that the repeal of article 87a of the law 90-11 related to labour relations will enter into force as from 1 January 2015.
“The decision to repeal the article 87a of the law 90-11 related to labour relations will be implemented as from 1 January 2015 and will primarily concern the underprivileged class,” said Sellal at the opening of the tripartite meeting
He said that the other classes will progressively benefit from it, in order not to “negatively affect the operating budget of the State and the national economy.”
The article 87a of the law 90-11 stipulates that national guaranteed minimum wage must include the basic salary, allowances and premiums of any nature other than the allowances paid under reimbursement of expenses engaged by the worker.
