About fifty exhibitors took part Wednesday in the local Agricultural Production Fair, organized at the national park of “Lalla Setti” in Tlemcen (580 km west of Algiers), as part of the celebration of the national day of agricultural counselling.
Tlemcen’s agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables, honey and olive oil, were exhibited in this fair, organized as part of the celebration of the national day of agricultural counselling placed under the slogan “ family farming, basis of food security,” reflecting the efforts made in terms of agricultural counselling and continuing education of farmers, stockbreeders and operators from other related sectors.
This meeting is an opportunity to the farmers to exchange the experiences and be aware of the different support programmes initiated by the State for this professional category, said the director of agricultural services.
The large variety of fruits, vegetables, milk and derivatives, meat and derivatives show the great expertise of these farmers who work in collective and family farms, said Fettouhi Mohamed.
