The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) on Sunday honored a number of Arab Trade ministers, heads of Arab Chambers of Commerce, local trade unions and a number of ACC staff. On behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade/ Minister of Information and Communication Technology Hatem Al-Halawani, said in the ceremony held to celebrate the chamber’s 90th anniversary that the chamber’s role as the first Jordanian economic organization was the base of the composition of the private sector institutions in the Kingdom. He pointed to the Kingdoms’ major achievements in the economic, medical and educational fields, noting that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has tripled in the past few years while the exports doubled by about five times. ACC President Riad Saifi said that the chamber introduces the national economy to the world and boosts the Jordanian economic and trade ties with world countries by promoting the benefits of its investment opportunities.
