
A delegation of the African Development Bank (ADB) inspected on Tuesday the Rural Income and Economic Enhancement Project (RIEEP) in Assiut.
Director of the Social Fund for Development in Assiut Ramieh Abdul Haseeb said the ADB has funded 1,054 small-sized projects and 15,431 micro enterprises in Assiut in 2014/2015 at a total cost of 104 million pounds.
Such projects have provided 19,450 job opportunities for youths, he said.
Abdul Haseeb added that the ADC delegation expressed keenness to finance agricultural and industrial projects in the Upper Egyptian governorate.
