
International Cooperation Minister Naglaa el Ahwany signed with Vice-President of European Investment Bank (EIB) Ambroise Fayolle two agreements worth 2.120 billion euros to support projects related to improving economic and social conditions of the Egyptians as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and private sector companies.
Ambroise Fayolle told MENA that the agreement includes providing two billion euros to enhancing economic and social services projects.
The second agreement includes offering 120 million euros to support private sector companies, she noted.
For his part, the Head of the National Bank of Egypt Hisham Okasha told MENA that the bank received from the EIB 80 million euros and 120 million euros will be added to the sum according to the agreement so as to back small and medium-sized enterprises.
