
The President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir has returned home Thursday evening following his performance of the Hajj (pilgrimage) for this year, and was received at Khartoum air port by the First Vice President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Barki Hassan Salih and a number of ministers.
The State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Obied-Alla Mohamed Obied said in statement to SUNA that Al -Bashir's visit to the Hajj (pilgrimage) has coincided with a visit which had been prepared for in advance to Saudi Arabia by the leadership of the two countries in term of their keenness on joint cooperation in all the political, economic and social fields.
The State Minister noted that the President of the Republic has met with the Saudi crown prince and the Deputy Prime Minister , his Highness Prince Sulieman Bin Abdul-Aziz , and a number of princes, pointing out that the meeting was frank and intimate and has allowed a great opportunity for consultation and coordination between the leadership of the two countries on various issues and regional and international concerns , specially that the region passing an extremely complex situations.
He added that the meeting has tackled efforts of the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia on number of challenges facing the Islamic nations in general regarding the issue of extremism and the results of the terrorist phenomena, as well as the targeting of Muslims and the Islamic faith, and the necessity for presenting Islam as a message of tolerance and peaceful coexistence between the communities.
The state minister noted that the meeting also tackled the necessity for the reactivation of the agreements signed between the countries, and has approved the convocation of the two country's ministerial joint committee to prepare the legal and legislative framework for surpassing the obstacles facing the Saudi investments in t he Sudan.
He added that the meeting has assured importance of exchange of visits between officials of the two countries referring that the coming period would witness visit from a number of the Saudi officials to the country.
The Foreign Ministry State Minister indicated that the president's visit has achieved positive outcomes which would benefit the peoples of the two countries , and has met a number of princes and the Somali president , meanwhile, a number of newspapers has conducted interviews with the President of the Republic.
