Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa emphasised that the patronage of the Prime Minster of the Kingdom of Bahrain HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for the 18th International Arab Aluminium Conference (Arabal) 2014 underlines the support of HRH the Prime Minister and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to this key industry and its significance to related downstream industries.
Shaikh Daij also expressed his thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, on HRH’s approval for granting patronage to this prestigious conference, which will be hosted by Alba between November 25-27, 2014 in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain under the theme "GCC: An aluminium power house".
Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Daij said:
"Alba is truly honoured by the patronage of the Prime Minster HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. We are proud to host Arabal 2014 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which reaffirms that Bahrain has made significant strides across all industries, especially in the aluminium sector and downstream industries under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa."
Adding further, he said:
"We are pleased to host an event of international prominence for the aluminium industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This affirms Bahrain’s position as the home to one of the world’s largest aluminium smelters. Alba is proud to host Arabal and we aim to make it one of the most successful Arabal events ever."
Shaikh Daij also pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting Arabal for the fourth time, and this year, it is expected to attract more than 700 delegates including key decision makers and industry leaders from all sectors of the aluminium industry in the region and across the world.
The Arab International Aluminium Conference (ARABAL) is the premium trade event for the Middle East’s aluminium industry and the only conference in the world attended by every single primary aluminium manufacturer in the region. Therefore, it is the conference of choice for anyone interested in the Middle East aluminium industry.
ARABAL first began in 1983 with Kuwait Aluminium Co. bringing together the leading figures in Middle East Aluminium to strengthen ties and discuss the issues of the day to provide an overview about the entire aluminium industry. Over the past 29 years, it has become an event of international repute, bringing together leaders from the aluminium industry across the world to attend, speak, and exhibit, at the event.
