Alba awards old employees

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C (Alba) emphasized its long standing commitment towards its workforce with the awarding ceremony that was held to recognise its long service employees – who completed ten years of service – on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Alba Club. On the occasion, Alba Labour Union Chairman, Ali bin Ali said: "Employees are the lifeblood of every company since it is they - the workers - who contribute to its growth and progress, and are the pillars upon which the company's success stories are written about. Alba has had many accomplishments in the past forty years and as members of the Alba Labour Union, we are proud to see many of our workers achieve great things for the company which has been widely regarded as an employer of choice for all Bahrainis. Apart from great salaries and opportunities for training, they also enjoy constant motivation to excel at what they do and enjoy good life at work and outside. We - as a Union - remain committed in establishing a highly professional, non-sectarian and apolitical work atmosphere at Alba so that individual merit is recognised and appreciated like what we are doing here today.” Commenting on the Long Service Award ceremony, the company’s Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt said: "Today's event is an important occasion when we shall celebrate long years of service at the company. It is a matter of privilege for us to recognise our employees who have completed long years of service in Alba. It is through their dedication, hard work and commitment that we have been able to achieve many of our corporate goals and emerge as one of the leading smelters in the world. This ceremony expresses our appreciation and gratitude for the loyalty they have shown, the team spirit they have demonstrated, and for excellence in the way they've handled their professional commitments. Today, Alba marks forty years of operations, and as we look back at the decades gone by, we are aware that the success we've experienced has been mainly because of the sincere efforts of our employees.
