
Minister of Industry and Mining Abdessalem Bouchouareb announced Sunday in Doha that the steel complex of Bellara (Jijel) will come into service in the first quarter of 2017.
“ The folders of the companies concerned by the construction of this complex were opened on November 2 and are now under technical and financial assessment before the signing of the contracts,” said Bouchouareb in a statement to the press on the sidelines of the inauguration of new headquarters of Algerian embassy in Qatar.
“The laying of the foundation stone for the construction of this complex will take place by the end of January 2015,” he added.
The minister underlined that the 5th Algeria-Qatar High Joint Commission allowed achieving a qualitative leap in the bilateral relations, especially in the industrial field.
