
Algeria's trade balance has recorded a deficit of US$5.616 billion in the first quarter of 2016, against US$3.464 billion during the same period in 2015, the Algerian Customs' National Centre of Data Processing and Statistics (CNIS) said Wednesday.
Exports have sharply dropped to US$5.914 billion during the first three months of 2016, against US$9.8 billion during the same period a year earlier, down by 39.65%, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported citing figures provided by the CNIS.
Algeria's imports declined to US$11.53 billion in the first quarter of 2016, against US$13.264 billion in the first quarter of 2015, down by 13.07%, according to the CNIS.
