
Bahraini Dhiya Abdulaziz Tawfiqi has been elected Arab Engineers Union (AEU) Chairman last Friday in Beirut on the sidelines of the 71st of the AEU Supreme Council. Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) Chairman Massoud Al-Harmi attended the session, along with (BSE) Secretary-General, External Relations director Mohammed Al-Khuzai.
Tawfiqi, who chaired Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) for three consecutive sessions (1996-2002), is a well-known engineer in Bahrain and the region for his contributions to technical planning and studies and role in supporting community activities and programmes. BSE members former Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, Abdulrahman Fakhro and late Hesham Al-Shehabi had also chaired the Arab Engineers Union (AEU).
