The 41st Arab labor conference will start on Sunday here under the sponsorship of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The week-long event will review the fourth Arab report on employment and joblessness in the Arab world compiled by the Arab Labor Organization, Director General Ahmad Luqman said.
The conference will also discuss a number of technical issues and reports by the ALO's specialized committees, he said.
The event is enjoying special attention for holding the elections for a new ALO director general, for which seven candidates are competing, including former Egyptian social solidarity minister Ahmed el-Borei and six others Arab figures.
