
The meetings of senior officials of the Arab League Social and Economic Council wrapped up Monday.
During the meeting, Egypt received the chairmanship of the council from Kuwait.
In statements to MENA, Ambassador Tareq Adel, Egypt's permanent delegation to the Arab League, said that the meetings tackled topics and resolution that will be submitted to the Arab ministers of trade and economy, who will gather in Sharm Sheikh on Wednesday to discuss such resolutions.
A number of recommendations, including two resolution submitted by Egypt, were adopted during the meeting, Adel said.
Permanent delegates will hold a meeting to gear up for the meeting of Arab foreign ministers, slated for March 26 in Sharm El Sheikh, Adel said.
