A forum seeking to promote investments in the Kingdom of Bahrain today started in Kuwait. Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing the Invest in Bahrain Forum, on the sidelines of the seventh session of the Bahrain-Kuwait Supreme Joint Cooperation Commission. The symposium aims at boosting the volume of economic and trade exchanges, attract Kuwaiti investments and highlight investment opportunities in Bahrain. BCCI board member Abdulhamid Al-Kooheji is leading the delegation which includes officials representing official parties and private sector companies. BCCI Acting Chief Executive Officer Nabeel Abdulrahman Al-Mahmoud said that the volume of trade exchanges between Bahrain and Kuwait soared to $95 million in 2011, up from $78.7 million in 2010. Bahrain exports aluminum products, mineral water, air-conditioners, steel products and food products and imports calcined oil, chemical products, garment, pharmaceutical products, foodstuff, construction materials, publications and home utensils.
