
The Middle East & North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF) convenes its 20th meeting here in Manama in the period November 18-20 chaired by the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)'s Acting Governor, Dr. Ali Mohsen Ahmed.
150 representatives from FATF-member countries (Arab G18) and observer countries: France, UK, USA, IMF, World Bank - GCC, FATF, Egmont Group, Palestine, Spain, Asia and Pacific Group, World Customs Organization, Arab Monetary Fund, Eurasian Action Group and the United Nations participate in the meeting.
The meeting is considered of paramount local, regional and international significance against money laundering and Terrorist Financing to protect the entire Arab region from these crimes.
