
Housing Ministry announced the third batch of beneficiaries of housing loans for the year 2014.
The loan is of three types: repair, construction and purchase. The batch includes 314 beneficiaries who have already satisfied the criteria of eligibility to housing loans services.
This includes 89 repair loan beneficiaries, 169 purchase loan beneficiaries and 56 construction loan beneficiaries. The total amount of all loans reached BD 12,488,500 (Twelve million, four-hundred and eighty-eight thousand, and five-hundred Bahraini dinars).
The new batch announced is the third batch in the current year (2014). The Ministry had allocated 975 housing service loans during the first half of this year with a total amount of BD 29,742,000 (Twenty-nine million, and seven-hundred forty-two thousand Bahraini dinars).
The total number of beneficiaries since the beginning of the year 2014, and until October has reached 1289 beneficiaries. The total amount of paid loans reached BD 42,230,500 (Forty-two million, two-hundred-and-thirty thousand, and five-hundred Bahraini dinars).
The Ministry is expected to announced the fourth and final batch of housing service loans before the end of the year 2014.
The Ministry and the Eskan Bank have adopted a policy that expedites the serving of applications from the waiting lists and regular payment of due amounts according to simple and speedy mechanisms to ensure non-accumulation of applications on the waiting lists and also to ensure continuity of this service.
