
Bahrain will host the 52nd session of the Arab Towns Organisation (ATO) Permanent Bureau. The two-day meeting will open on November 29 in the presence of officials representing more than Arab capitals and towns.
ATO director-general Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa welcomed the guests who will take part in the upcoming meetings, pointing out that the delegations would discuss key issues relating to Arab cities and municipalities.
A number of awards will also be officially launched on the sidelines of the ATO meetings in Bahrain in a bid to encourage between the Arab towns and capitals regarding the environmental, urban and technical aspects.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s standing as an international financial centre for industrial, trade and service investments, pointing out the crucial role of the private sector.
He stressed Bahrain’s keen interest to benefit from its membership in Arab Towns Organisation (ATO) in taking part in conferences, forums and training programmes.
