
The GCC joint action team of managers and officials concerned with insurance against unemployment will convene in Bahrain tomorrow.
The team was formed by GCC Labour Ministers Council, under the chairmanship of Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, with the participation of Executive Bureau of the GCC Council of Ministers of Labour.
Labour Minister affirmed that the meeting comes within the GCC states' framework of being informed on Bahrain's pioneering experience in the field of insurance against unemployment, as a part of studying joint outstanding initiatives and exploring ways of benefiting if it in supporting GCC joint action march.
He added that Bahrain was chosen to head GCC team of insurance against unemployment in light of its remarkable experience, highlighting that the meeting will review Bahrain's experience in implementing this law and consolidating it, stressing that the success of Bahrain's experience represents a model for the GCC states, which share similar economic and social conditions with Bahrain.
The meeting will address technical frameworks about insurance against unemployment systems and mechanisms of providing social protection for the citizens during their unemployment period, aiming to put guiding system that benefits all GCC states.
