Bahrain will build a regional shopping mall in cooperation with some Chinese companies, the Bahrain News Agency reported Wednesday. This was revealed Wednesday during a meeting between the chief executive officer of Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Shaikh Mohammed, and a visiting business delegation from China's Guangdong province. The EDB chief discussed with the delegation members the possibility of setting up a number of projects in the kingdom, such as a regional shopping mall, the news agency said without revealing any detailed time table for the projects. The delegation consisted of representatives from a number of pioneering travel, tourism, construction, trade and electronics companies in China. The EDB officials held a separate meeting on Wednesday with another Chinese trade delegation from Ningxia province and highlighted the investment opportunities offered by the kingdom. The two sides also discussed starting joint projects in sectors such as construction, solar energy, real estates, banking, agriculture, food and trade.
