
The Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani met the President of Bahrain Consumer Protection Society Abdulla Al Jeeb in presence of the Society's Vice President Tariq Al Aujan. They reviewed the arrangements undertaken by the society to organize the first "Consumer Protection Forum" under slogan of "the best ways to protect consumers’’ in the Kingdom of Bahrain". The minister expressed government’s appreciation for all efforts undertaken by national institutions, confirming ministry’s support to provide the institutions with facilities and services to protect the consumers; as the society constitutes the second party with the ministry in achieving awareness and education. The minister said "the Ministry of Industry and Commerce praised the leading role played by the society in educating consumers’ and protecting their interests, taking in account to the role of the commercial sector in servicing the economy and consumers’’".
