
Customs President Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa had a meeting with Saudi Director-General of King Fahad Causeway Customs Daifullah bin Bandar Al-Otaibi during the latter’s visit to Bahrain as the head of a Customs delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the period February 15-18.
The visit was meant to get familiarised with the Customs operations on both sides, share experiences and learn about the procedures to facilitate Customs services on the causeway.
The two sides held several meetings to discuss the electronic link for Customs shipping. One of the meetings focused on issues related to Customs clearance and the best ways to resolve problems encountered on both sides.
Another meeting involved the Risk and Restrictions Directorate, the Information Directorate and the Customs Investigations Directorate of the General Directorate of Security and Follow-up to focus on the nature of work of the two departments and exchange expertise at all levels.
