
A joint committee set up by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has today convened for its 21st periodic meeting. Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani chaired the session in presence of BCCI Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Almoayyed and other officials.
The panel discussed key issues of common interests, including the planned Bahrain Export Development Centre, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME)Toolkit and the Economic City projects. The BCCI officials outlined plans to establish a storage company and a livestock holding firm as part of efforts to promote Bahrain's food security. A presentation was also given, highlighting the licence-registration system (BLIS) which was launched by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to streamline procedures .
