
Egyptian Ambassador here Saleh Awad welcomed the participation of Bahraini King Sheikh Hamad ben Issa al Khalifa in the Egypt Economic Development Conference to start in Sharm el Sheikh on Friday.
The kingdom that is known for its unwavering support of Egypt, especially at the current critical stage the country is passing through, the ambassador said.
The Bahraini delegation will include a number of senior officials, investors and businessmen.
The Bahraini king has never spared any effort in supporting Egypt's efforts to regain its regional role, he added.
He said Egypt is pinning great hopes on Arab and Gulf participation in this economic event to back the national economy at these exceptional circumstances.
He also paid tribute to late king Abdullah ben Abdel Aziz of Saudi Arabia who was the first to call for that conference to back the Egyptian economy.
