
The Labour Ministry has hosted a workshop on the implementation of the Ministerial Edict determining the conditions and the necessary precautions to protect workers in work sites.
Assistant Under-Secretary for Training Affairs at the Ministry of Labour Ridha Ahmed Hubail delivered a statement in which he highlighted the importance of promoting the vocational safety and health culture among employers in order to ensure protection of workers and reduce work accidents.
A presentation on the kingdom's laws to protect workers at construction and civil engineering sites, as well as the safety requirement that should be met in infrastructure projects was screened.
The 150 participants were also informed about the Labour Ministry's efforts to raise the awareness of employers and safety officials in order to avoid the risks and accidents in construction sites.
