
The Director of Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Directorate in the Ministry of Works (MoW), engineer Asma Murad, said that the Ministry has completed the implementation of the sewerage network in Swaifiya's Block 351 as part of the Ministry’s plan to improve sanitary services in the Kingdom.
The Project included laying down 5.55km long sewerage pipes (3.15km-long main extensions and 2.4km long sub-extensions), constructing 1 main pumping stations and 1 inspection chambers (foxholes) in addition to mechanical and electrical works.
‘The project serves 51 residential units and 178 real estates. It also connects the housing project in the area to the main sewerage network; including 136 residential units,’ said Murad.
The BD710,000 project was awarded by the Tender Board to Al Door Excavation Building Contracting company.
