
Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi has today inspected progress of work on Muharraq Grand Park. He was accompanied by Muharraq Municipal Council Deputy Chairman Ali Al-Muqla, Muharraq Municipality Acting General Director Ahmed Janahi, Municipal Services director Ibrahim Al-Jowder, Technical Services director Intisar Al-Kubaisi, Project Investor Fouad Shuwaiter and other officials.
Dr. Al-Kaabi stressed the ministry’s resolve to continue developing public gardens and parks as part of efforts to promote family-leisure facilities and achieve sustainable development."The visit aims to ensure the follow-up of the project and study ways of overcoming the challenges curbing its progress", he said. He pointed out that the issues relating to infrastructure components and the sanitation network would be discussed and coordinated with the Ministry of Works.
Strategically located near Bahrain International Airport, the investment project features restaurants, cafes, a multipurpose hall, business centre, insurance offices, banks, travel and tourism companies and other facilities.
