
Officials at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning-affiliated General Directorate of Urban Planning met a delegation from Muharraq Municipality in the presence of the Director of Cities and Villages Planning Directorate, Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid Al Khalifa.
The Director of Structural Planning Department, Khalid Al Ansari, affirmed the importance of ongoing cooperation and coordination with municipal councils as one of the tributaries of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's national development project which is one of the pillars of the Kigndom's comprehensive urban development.
During the meeting, Khalid Al Ansari presented an overview of the Kingdom's Strategic Structural Blueprint2030 in line with the leadership's directives. He also highlighted the regulatory terms and conditions for urbanisation issued by Cabinet Resolution 28/2009 pertaining to residential, commercial, construction, industrial and services included in the Kingdom's approved categorisation maps.
Muharraq Municipal Council members have expressed their appreciation of the services provided by the directorate, stressing that municipal councils will continue support the directorate's efforts aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the Kingdom's citizens and residents.
