The Ministry of Works took a number of its sanitary engineering staff on an inspection visit to Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), where they were introduced to the recent technologies and procedures used for sewage water treatment at the plant.
During the visit, a detailed presentation was provided to the staff and they were also taken on a complete tour in the plant. Samples of sewage waters before and after treatment were displayed to highlight the quality of treated water and how it conforms to the national standards adopted in the process.
At the end of the visit, the staff extended thanks to the Ministry for granting them this valuable opportunity to closely learn the treatment process and tour Muharraq STP.
