
The First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has given a directive for continuing work at the projects that are being implemented directly by East Sudan Development Fund and through funding from the Kuwait Donors Conference for Development in East Sudan.
Chaired by the First Vice - President, the Higher Committee for Implementation of East Sudan Peace Agreement approved in its meeting Wednesday at the Republican Palace a report of the Ministry of Finance on the situation of funding for implementation of East Sudan Peace Agreement.
In a press statement, the Minister of Investment and official of the file on implementation of East Sudan Peace Agreement, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, said that the committee has heard a report on the rehabilitation of the East Sudan Rehabilitation Fund and re-formation of the board of directors of the fund as well as the implementation of different rehabilitation and development projects.
He described the recent International Donors Conference in Kuwait as one of the most successful conferences concerning commitment of the donors to the implementation of roads and electricity and agricultural projects at the cost of 50 million dollars.
