
The First Vice President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has given a directives for strict coordination between all the mechanisms operating in the field of processing industry to provide edible oils production aidings.
This came in his meeting Monday in his office at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers with the Minister of Industry, Engineer Al-Semaih Al-Siddig.
In a press statement following the meeting, Al-Siddig said that he briefed the First Vice President of the Republic on the formation of a council to settle the engineering industries and a council for oil seeds in the context of the ministry's efforts to reduce edible oils prices and to make them available to the citizens.
He noted that 135,000 acres were cultivated with sunflower crop, adding that his ministry is seeking with persistent steps to resettle the iron, aluminum and electricity wire industries in the context of its plans to indigenize industries in the country.
