
The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Industrial Sector Committee held a meeting chaired by BCCI's Board of Directors member Abdul-Hameed A.J. Al-Kooheji to discuss some of the functions planned by the committee for implementation before the end of this year (2014).
The meeting discussed scheduled meeting with their counterparts members of the Industrial Sector Committee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Region's Chamber.
The meeting also explored some workshops and consultative meetings in cooperation with the various relevant sides in the country in order to solve all problems and difficulties so as to upgrade the industrial sector in Bahrain.
The meeting recently held at Bait Al-Tijjar has commended the new Strategy of Tamkeen (i.e. the Labour Fund) and its inclusion of restructuring of its progammes for further harmonisation and compatibility with the transformations of the market and private sector, especially regarding constant monitoring and follow up of SMEs financing.
Al-Kooheji said that the committee strives to solve problems and difficulties which might hamper the development of this industrial sector. The committee will hold standing consultation meetings with its members to discuss and crystallise a joint working plan aimed to activate, boost and develop the sector, he added. The committee endeavours to always remain at the disposal of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its national economy through diligence on the industrial sector which is considered one of the major contributories into the Bahrain's Economic Vision2030, he said.
The meeting was attended by the committee's chairman and members as well as BCCI officials.
