The general budget deficit in January 2011 stood at JD3.4 million after foreign aid with financial surplus reaching JD217.5 million compared to the same months of 2010, according to Finance Ministry figures. According to Jordan news agency, The figures showed that domestic revenues and foreign aid stood at JD353.2 million compared with JD593.8 million in the same period of 2010. Public expenditure reached JD338.8 million including JD340.8 million as current expenditure, compared to JD340.8 million in the same period of 2010. With regard to internal and external debt, total net debt stood at JD11.532 billion at the end of January 2011compared to JD11.462 billion in the same period of 2010.
