In its meeting under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Tuesday, the Cabinet approved a presidential draft decree to consider 190,445 feddans of land plots, located on Cairo/Suez highway, required for Egypt's new administrative capital, as areas of new urban communities.
The move aims at establishing the new urban community in eastern New Cairo, which will reduce the overcrowding in Cairo and accommodate the overpopulation.
The cabinet also approved a presidential draft decree to re-allocate 618 feddans in Sohag for the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage (NOPWASD) to establish wood farms and another 577.4 feddans for the expansion of treatment plant.
