Cabinet approves providing Jordan with gas discovered off Gaza

The Cabinet approved a recommendation by its Economic Development Committee on the possibility of providing Jordan with natural gas discovered off the shores of Gaza in coordination with the Palestinian National Authority.
During today's session, chaired by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, the Cabinet entrusted the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to contact the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to approve entrusting the Deloitte Company or any other consultative company to help the government, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, to hold negotiations on an agreement to purchase natural gas discovered near the Gaza shores.
