Delegations representing the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Helwan University's Education Faculty and the Suez University visited on Saturday the New Suez Canal.
The visit aims at supporting the workers in the project and getting acquainted with the latest developments in the excavation work.
The Dean of the Education Faculty Khaled Mohamed Fargon said that the venture needs hard work by the Egyptians to be implemented.
The Deputy Chairman of the CBE underlined that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi assumed the duties of his post during a tough phase in the country's history, adding that he restored the dignity of Egypt.
The delegations listened to a detailed explanation of the history of the Suez Canal.
They also chanted patriotic songs and held the Egyptian flag.
