Chairman of the Palestinian Jordanian Business Forum ( PJBF) Talal Albo described Jordan as "the lung of Palestine" and its economy and praised the Kingdom's role in supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation.
He made his remarks during a speech at a ceremony hosted by the 4th Economic Conference of the Palestine International Business Forum (PIBF) in Istanbul on Monday, noting that businessmen and NGOs were concerned with promoting development in Jordan as well as foreign investment.
He said that Jordan enjoys an attractive business environment due to its security, political stability and strategic location, making it the first gate of the Palestinian economy, which is hindered by many obstacles and measures imposed by the occupation.
The PIBF, which kicks off on Tuesday under the title "Opportunities Stronger than Challenges," brings together Turkish and Arab businessmen, including Jordanians.
The Jordanian delegation will include a large number of businessmen as well as the representatives of private sector institutions.
