The Interior Ministry's District Committee for Planning and Construction in Jerusalem approved on Monday the construction of 500 new housing units in the East Jerusalem, which is located beyond the Green Line, Ynet reported.
The move is an addition to an existing plan to build 1,600 housing units in the neighborhood.
